雷奧普拉塔諾生物圈保留地景觀（洪都拉斯）

【巴黎消息，6月22日】  宏都拉斯的世界遺產雷奧普拉塔諾生物圈保留地（Río Plátano Biosphere Reserve）今天被列入教科文組織《瀕危世界遺產名錄》，目的是為了強化對此遺產地的保護。雷奧普拉塔諾生物圈保留地是中美洲所剩無幾的熱帶雨林之一。

鑒於非法採伐、漁業、土地佔用、偷獵、特別是因法治和公權力無法貫徹，以及販毒分子的猖狂等因素，導致國家對此地管理能力急遽下降，而使遺產地遭到多方面的綜合威脅，宏都拉斯政府乃主動向世界遺產委員會提出請求，希望能將雷奧普拉塔諾生物圈保留地列入《瀕危世界遺產名錄》。

宏都拉斯當局的請求是基於被列入《瀕危世界遺產名錄》之後，能得到進一步的協助，也是對政府部門、民間社會及國際合作降低威脅的共同努力成果的某種肯定。

於1979年被列入教科文組織《世界遺產名錄》的雷奧普拉塔諾生物圈保留地，目前仍散居著承襲傳統生活方式的土著居民。該遺產地過去曾於1996至2007年間首次被列入《瀕危世界遺產名錄》。

World Heritage Committee puts Río Plátano Biosphere Reserve on Danger List at the request of Honduras

The Honduran World Heritage site of Río Plátano Biosphere Reserve, one of the few tropical rainforest remains in Central America, has been inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in Danger to mobilize support for its preservation.

The government of Honduras requested the World Heritage Committee to place the property on the List in Danger in view of the combined threats of illegal logging, fishing and land occupation, poaching and the reduced capacity of the State to manage the site, notably due to the deterioration of law and to the presence of drug traffickers.

The request by Honduras comes in recognition of the value of Danger Listing to help focus the efforts of government departments, civil society and international cooperation.

Río Plátano Biosphere Reserve, home to an indigenous population that has preserved its traditional way of life in the rain forest, was inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 1982. It was first inscribed on the Danger List between 1996 and 2007.
