世界遺產研究中心

即將在今年六月召開的世界遺產委員會，是《世界遺產公約》自1972年以來的發展史中，第一次在西班牙舉行。塞維亞市、安達魯西亞省與西班牙已經做好準備，歡迎各界參與世界遺產委員會的第33屆會議。

西班牙文化部長為此竭心盡力，並且與安達魯西亞省政府及塞維亞市政當局一起努力，確保此次委員會會議得以順利進行。他們同時也在我們相關協力諮詢國際組織（ICOMOS、IUCN與ICCROM）及公約秘書處－亦即世界遺產中心的共同合作下，全力完成此次會議必要文書的整備。他們的付出，以及各國代表團的參與和分享，將使本屆委員會議熱切有效的目標得以實現，同時更具有往前進步的動力，促使1972年《世界遺產公約》有更偉大的發展。

在聯合國教科文組織中，《保護世界文化遺產與自然遺產公約》經常被頌揚為多邊有效參與的成功例證，而世界遺產中心於教科文組織所屬各單位中，也是眾所稱讚的佼佼者。敝國向來廣為傳佈此類觀念，高度尊重對於相關工作發展的支持，同時也願意分享世界遺產的保護管理經驗，使其傳遞給我們的後代子孫。我們希望未來的數十年間，《世界遺產公約》仍將在全世界得到永續推展。

各位親愛的伙伴，安達魯西亞省會在西班牙，本就以好客而遠近馳名，因此我相信在六月時，將足以滿足眾人的期待。我也鼓勵大家能夠盡情享受此地的古蹟與博物館，品嚐風味絕妙的美食，以及在西班牙吉他或佛朗明哥的奇幻樂音中，倘佯於狹長的街巷風情裡。此地的種種，當使大家很容易就能理解，塞維亞為何會在聯合國教科文組織創意都市網絡中，被提名為「音樂之城」。

我們的主辦單位也將會規劃帶各位前往塞維亞和安達魯西亞的各處建築物及世界遺產地參訪，並且提供西班牙其他各處世界遺產地的資訊給大家。~希望各位都能盡情享受。

Welcome to Seville 2009

The World Heritage Committee is set to meet in Spain for the first time in the 1972 Convention's history this coming June. Seville, Andalusia and Spain are ready to welcome all those taking part in the Committee's thirty-third meeting.

The Ministry of Culture of the Spanish Government is working intensively, together with the Government of Andalusia and the Seville Town Council to ensure the smooth development of sessions. They are also endeavouring to complete the necessary meeting documents, both those of our advising bodies (ICOMOS, IUCN and ICCROM) as well as our Secretariat, the World Heritage Centre. Their work and the work of the delegations of the countries taking part shall make an intense and productive session a reality, bringing forward momentum to the great work developed by the 1972 Convention.

At UNESCO, the World Cultural and Natural Heritage Convention is often cited as an example of effective multilateralism and the Heritage Centre is known as the Organisation's flagship. My country shares this opinion and the high esteem for the work developed to identify, share and preserve this World Heritage that we must pass on to new generations. We hope that decades to come will see constant progress of the Convention in the world over.

Dear colleagues, the capital of Andalusia is famous in Spain for its hospitality, and I am sure it will live up to your expectations in June. I encourage you to enjoy its monuments and museums, savour its delicious cuisine and wander through its narrow streets under the spell of a Spanish guitar or Flamenco music. It is easy to understand why Seville was nominated City of Music within the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.

Our hosts shall organise visits to the buildings and World Heritage Sites in Seville and Andalusia and offer information on other sites in Spain. -I hope you enjoy yourselves.
